I'd ask the recipient organization first about what it wants and accepts. Sort out damaged or questionable items and package the rest so they're easy to handle. If they're for beginner play, a knowledgeable organizer can help identify useful groups. A thoughtful donation solves a need instead of moving your sorting project.
