It sounds like the right moment to stop for the night. Another purchase doesn't repair the last one, and the next pack doesn't know what you've already spent. I'd put the cards away, let the frustration settle, and come back to the budget later. If this keeps happening, taking a break from packs and choosing individual cards can make the hobby feel manageable again.
