You're not ridiculous; the chase is fun. But when I want one specific card, I price that card in the infinitepulls.com app before opening more packs. Buying it individually gives me a known cost; packs don't promise I'll ever pull it. I keep pack money in the entertainment budget. Once that money is gone, the chase can wait.
