Some sealed products gain value, but a fortune is a promise nobody can make. I think about demand, possible reprints, storage, and how I'd eventually sell it. Sealed boxes take space and can get damaged too. If you want to open your birthday gift, that's a valid choice. Just decide whether this box is for enjoyment or a speculative hold before the wrapper comes off.
