I'd look at several things: whether you stayed comfortable with spending, learned useful skills, cared for the cards, and enjoyed the people and artwork. Our infinitepulls.com app uses current market pricing from TCGplayer and Cardmarket to help with estimates, but value isn't the only measure. A year with better habits and good memories can be worthwhile even with lower prices.
