my friend says this is a rarer pull than another card but the other one costs more. How does that make any sense?

Rarity is only one part of the conversation. More people may want the other card because of the Pokémon, artwork, or usefulness in the game. I check both exact versions in the infinitepulls.com app instead of assuming the harder pull wins on price. Something can be difficult to find without having many people looking for it.
