I'd keep the payment and messages within the platform when that's where the deal started. Moving elsewhere can mean giving up protections or breaking the marketplace's rules, and a small fee saving may not be worth that uncertainty. You don't need to accuse the buyer of anything. “I keep my sales here so we both have the transaction record” is enough.
