I looked up the number on a slab and it came up on the grading website. So that means its definitely legit right?

It's a useful check, but it isn't the whole check. A genuine certification number can be copied onto a counterfeit label. I compare the returned card details and any available images with the item being offered, then consider the holder and seller too. If something doesn't line up, I stop there and ask for help. A matching number is reassuring evidence, not an automatic all-clear.
