finally moved the old cards into a new binder. Do people put these in some official order or can I just put the cool ones up front?

Put the cool ones up front if that makes you happy. I use set-number order when I'm tracking a set, but favorite Pokémon, artwork, and colors all work too. The useful system is the one that helps you find things without making collecting feel like homework. Leave a little room to grow so every new card doesn't mean rebuilding the whole binder.
