If you haven't finalized the trade, you can say you've reconsidered. I'd be direct: “Thanks for showing me everything, but I'm going to keep this one.” Their time deserves courtesy, not ownership of your card. Once a trade is completed, undoing it is a different conversation that requires agreement. Pausing before the exchange is the right time to listen to that hesitation.
