I'd make the reward the pack-opening experience, never a promised valuable pull. Keep the arrangement within a clear budget and offer alternatives if someone doesn't enjoy collecting. Celebrate the effort that earned it. A disappointing pull shouldn't make the person feel their work earned nothing.
